Pants pulled up,  
Tight.  Hair combed back,  Nice.   
Teeth brushed,  White.  Make up just  Right.   
On the couch,  Wait.  Time passes,  Late.   
Plans fall  Through.  Others past  Due.   
Time passed,  Flew.  Chance gone,  Lose.   
Emotions,  Weigh.  Peace not  Dismay.   
Its ok,  Say.  Let it go,  Lay.   
In life,  Nothing.  To know this,  Something.

SerenityI should learn from the ancient trees: that anger and noise yields nothing  When beauty is what lasts.  That is true grace- peace within the chaos.   
I envy you willow.  To be at such serenity alone.  Your branches grow long.  Your base stands strong  And you can't help but dance with the wind.   
What an extroadinary place this is  What views we have both up  And down  And in between.   
For the bright azure skies hold  Weightless great impossiblities,  And dyes and blends  And races  When it feels time is right.

BrotherhoodWe weren't so alone with the flashes of  Candy apple green,  The oranges of a playground set,  Bursts of white light dying as grey snow.   
You and I  I and you  Again and  Again  lined up, lost,  
On everything this country is- a road  And everything this country fails to be.   
No, we weren't so alone...  When our brothers painted reality.  Each bombardment followed with  A sad understanding- an apology.   
And as we left our photograph albums,  Clothes and jewlery,  Groceries and computers,  Shelter and family,  We finally found ea Brotherhood
